Kansas Corn Collegiate Programs

Student Membership

The Kansas Corn Growers Association is now offering college students a new rate of $25 for one year memberships. A student membership in KCGA also includes membership in NCGA, and provides many additional benefits and services.

Kansas Corn Collegiate Academy

This new program gives college students the opportunity to dive deeper into the corn industry. It gives them insights into the opportunities and hurdles that lie ahead of the corn industry and how their future career paths may be impacted. Participating students will also create a capstone project that will relate the information they have learned back to their area of study. Students will participate in a day at the Statehouse in Topeka and Corn Congress in Washington DC. Applicants must be currently enrolled in post-secondary school and still in school through spring semester 2018. This program is now receiving applications through October 31, 2017.

Next Generation Scholarship program

This new scholarship program is available via application. The program is focused on students who are currently enrolled in post-secondary school in the spring of 2017 and planning to be enrolled in the 2017-2018 school year. Scholarship applications are now available and will be awarded in February 2018

Careers in Corn

This new initiative is focused on bringing attention to the wide variety careers available in the larger corn industry. Online, we highlighted a variety of individuals across various industry sectors. Their online profiles give students insights into their career paths to help with their own career planning. In addition, the Kansas Corn team is hitting the road to visit two and four year institutions across the state. The visits will include an evening with dinner and networking for students. The students will meet industry professionals from various sectors and get a free resume critique.
