Kansas Corn is proud to partner with Vance and Chase Fisher with Fisher Agri Service on on-farm research that supports practical, producer-driven solutions for Kansas corn growers. By opening his operation to research, Fisher Agri Service helps advance unbiased, real-world data that benefits farmers across the state.
For farmers, the bottom line is simple: Will it work, and will it pay? These on-farm trials are designed to answer practical questions about products and management decisions Kansas corn growers make every season. By testing fungicide timing, hybrids, plant populations, biological products and disease management strategies under real-world conditions, Kansas Corn and its research partners can provide unbiased data farmers can use when making decisions on their own operations.
Trials:
Basic Protocol Descriptions
Three miles south of St John, at the junction of Hwy 281 and Hwy 50, southeast of the roundabout.
Does a fungicide application protect yield and is the return worth the investment?
This trial compares five fungicide treatments under the same field conditions to provide growers with practical, field-scale data. With multiple replications and strips designed around the farmer’s equipment, the trial can help show whether differences in treatment translate into meaningful results at harvest and, ultimately, whether those results justify the added input cost.
