Congresswoman Jenkins Conducts Farm Visit

Second District Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins held her summer farm tour Thursday visiting the Carter Pecan Farm in Miami County, the Ottawa Coop and Nunemaker-Ross far near Lawrence. Kansas Corn hosted the stop at the Ross farm.Pat Ross and Lowell Nietzel talke to Rep. Jenkins about their farm and issues important to their farming operation. Rep. Jenkins and staff visited the Ottawa Coop facilities and discussed the grain industry. At both stops, Rep. Jenkins heard about improvements and efficiencies that have helped to make agriculture more productive and more sustainable. She also heard concerns about regulatory overreach, especially with the EPA and the Waters of the US (WOTUS) rule.
