Kansas Corn Statement on WOTUS Injunction

KCGA remains very concerned about the level of confusion and misunderstanding that exists with the WOTUS final rule published by EPA. The rule’s implementation scheduled beginning today would be premature and ill-advised due to remaining questions and uncertainty. We are awaiting clarification of yesterday’s court injunction of the rule’s implementation from federal district court in North Dakota but welcome such court action. KCGA also commends Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt for his continued insistence to US EPA that the final rule be reconsidered, implementation delayed or the rule ultimately withdrawn.
