Kansas Corn Leaders, Staff Meet with Policymakers

Congressional recess in late May allowed our delegation to return to Kansas, giving Kansas Corn leaders and staff  the opportunity to visit with several of our policymakers.

Kansas Corn leader Dennis McNinch of Utica and Director of Communications Sue Schulte attended an Agricultural Business Council of Kansas City reception with Representative Sharice Davids. Several Kansas ag groups attended and had positive conversations with Rep. Davids. Trade was the main topic of discussion.

McNinch, Kansas Corn CEO Greg Krissek and V.P. of Market Development and Policy Josh Roe attended a meeting with US Trade Ambassador Gregg Doud and Congressman Roger Marshall.

Kansas Corn ‘s Director of Industry Relations Stacy Mayo-Martinez, intern Avery Aust and White Cloud farmer Brad McCauley participated in a meeting at Highland focused on Missouri river flooding with Senator Pat Roberts, Representative Steve Watkins and representatives from USDA and the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Kansas Corn staff Josh Roe was in Washington DC this week where he met with NCGA staff and staff from Representatives Marshall and Estes.
