The Kansas corn, soybean, wheat and grain sorghum commissions gave their annual reports to the legislature on Tuesday. Kansas Corn Commissioner Kent Moore, Iuka, gave reports to the Senate and House agriculture committees. The commissions are required by statute to provide an annual report to the legislature. It also provides an opportunity for farmers to appear before the ag committee and answer questions about their crops and agriculture in general. Also on Tuesday, the corn, soybean, wheat and sorghum associations hosted the annual Wake Up to Agriculture legislative breakfast at the Statehouse.
