Jan. 28 Online Kansas Corn Event!

National Corn, Ethanol Leaders to Speak at Online Kansas Corn Symposium and Annual Meeting

Kansas corn producers will hear from from two national leaders in the corn and ethanol industries at the Kansas Corn Symposium and Kansas Corn Growers Association Annual Meeting online event at 1 p.m. on Jan. 28, 2021. Due to COVID concerns, the popular annual event will be held through a Zoom call beginning with a program featuring national speakers, followed by the KCGA Annual Meeting.
National Corn Growers Association President John Linder, an Ohio farmer, will give an overview of national corn issues and achievements. Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor will provide an outlook on opportunities and challenges for the ethanol industry.
“We are excited to be able to provide insights from two top national-level speakers from NCGA and Growth Energy,” Kansas Corn CEO Greg Krissek said. “While this year’s symposium will be online, that format allows us access to bring these national leaders to speak directly with our growers.”
During the symposium, the winners of the Kansas Corn Yield Contest will be recognized. College students who completed the Kansas Corn Collegiate Academy, and the Next Generation Scholarship recipients will be recognized. Growers participating in the current class of the Kansas Corn Corps young farmer professional development program also will be recognized.
Following the symposium program, KCGA members will conduct the annual meeting to discuss and approve resolutions; elect board members for West Central, Central and East Central Districts and hear KCGA updates.
Growers interested in attending the event can register online to receive login information and instructions at kscorn.com, or call the Kansas Corn office at 785-410-5009.
