Staff Changes at Kansas Corn

Tarra Rotstein, Communications Specialist
Former intern, Tarra Rotstein, has joined the Kansas Corn Team as communications specialist in the Manhattan office. Tarra is a recent graduate of Kansas State University in the agricultural communications and journalism with a secondary major in global food systems leadership. Growing up in Ocala, Florida, her passion for agriculture was sparked through horseback riding. Her love for making the complicated easy to understand is where she finds her place in telling the stories of agriculture and consumer education. Tarra is excited to join the Kansas Corn team and utilize her communication skills to further the corn industry. Her focus will be on education, collegiate and consumer communications. Kansas Corn is sharing Tarra’s time with the Kansas FFA Foundation.

Avery Aust, Grower Services Intern
Avery Aust, from Louisburg, KS, is a junior at Kansas State majoring in Ag Business. She is passionate and fascinated with the challenge of how to meet the demand of feeding a rising global population. Avery says agriculture is a key component of her family and her life. Her close ties to the industry stem from her father’s career as a grain merchandiser and her uncle who farms in southeast Kansas. Avery is a graduate of the first Kansas Corn Collegiate Academy class and says she passionate about the corn industry because of the kind, welcoming people Kansas Corn has given her the opportunity to meet. Avery will focus on a number of projects this summer including working with our ethanol retail locations, helping coordinate the Corn Challenge prize distribution, visit farms across the state for outreach, help with our collegiate program planning on some exciting updates to be announced this summer and also help with our 2019 Kansas Corn Yield Contest.

Angela Dailey, Former Grower Services Intern
Last week we said goodbye to Angela Dailey who had served as our grower services intern in the Manhattan office since February 2018. Angela recently graduated from Kansas State University and is transitioning into her full-time employment in ag lending in Kansas City. We are excited to see Angela begin her career because we know that her future is very bright!
