Grade Level: 4th Grade
This lesson can be used as a stand-alone lesson to introduce vocabulary necessary for the Kansas Corn Lesson: Structurally Speaking. During the fourth grade corn lesson they focus on plant structures and functions. They observe, record and reflect throughout the lessons. By the end, they are asked to identify structures, draw plant and identify the parts. With this breakout, students will analyze recorded data, solve word problems, and identify parts of plants so they can break out.
