Photo Contest Rules

  1. Contest is open to all Kansas educators including lead teachers, inquiry ambassadors and the Kansas Corn STEM teacher advisory board
  2. Photos will be judged on how well they illustrate students using the Kansas Corn STEM education materials. This contest is NOT about the most photographic/creative pictures, we just want to see how you are using the materials in your classroom.
  3. If fewer than three posts are entered from the month, there will not be a prize awarded, rather the entries will be judged with entries in the following month.
  4. All entries and their copyrights will become the property of Kansas Corn STEM. Such photos may be used in newspapers, newsletters, magazines, brochures, other publications and social media. Such photos may also be used in connection with advertising, promotions and displays, may be displayed on the internet or may be used for any other purpose as Kansas Corn sees fit.
  5. Please ensure all students in the picture have signed a release form to have their picture taken. Release forms like this are often distributed at the beginning of the school year by the school.  The educators sharing the photo for the contest are responsible for making sure they have permission to have the student(s) in a picture.
  6. All photos will be judged by Kansas Corn staff with no discrimination toward sex, race, gender or age. The panel’s decisions are final.
  7. Educators can enter the contest each month.
  8. An educator with a winning entry will not be able to enter the contest again for 90 days from when the prize was awarded.
  9. Winners will be announced on Twitter
  10. Entries must be made through Twitter. Entries through Facebook, Instagram or any other platform will not be accepted.
